I’m a non Jw currently seeing a Jw. I am not totaly clear about the rules about Jw’s in dating. Could someone explain this to me and does it vary from family to family at all? Matter of fact, they are only allowed to date other JWs if they are seriously ‘looking for a marriage mate. Some JWs and some JW families are more lax about this than others, but the elders take intense, personal interest in each member of their congregation at least if they’re breaking the rules and if it gets out that a JW is dating a non-JW they can get in a lot of trouble. I hate to be negative, but many JWs who date ‘worldly people’ non-JW are doing so to have a secret life, so I wouldn’t count on acutally being a real part of their life. The only alternative would be if the JW wasn’t really serious about being a JW, and was looking to ‘get out. There are strict “recomendations” about dating non JW.

Marrying Someone Of A Different Faith
I am dating a Jehovah’s Witness and I am trying to teach him the Christian teachings on the subjects in which our religions differ. I am struggling with the fact about the new heavens and the new earth after the second coming of Christ. Then the faithful will be in the new earth in paradise and the unfaithful will be destroyed.
Also, that , mentioned in Revelation will be ruling in the heavens with God. I was wondering what the Christian view of this is and the Scriptures in which they come from.

When, as a teenager, the community shunned her and prevented her from participating in her father’s funeral, she accepted it as appropriate punishment for having sex with her boyfriend. Rather than pulling away at that time, Scorah doubled down.
Scorah went on to marry an elder in the church, and she and her husband traveled to China as missionaries. But gradually, doubt set in. In her new memoir, Leaving the Witness, Scorah reflects on her decision to leave her faith and her marriage. She eventually moved to New York and had children with a new partner, but the transition wasn’t easy.
And the weirdest part of it all was that it was my own doing. Nobody did it to me. I chose it, because I couldn’t continue on in something I didn’t believe in anymore. Disfellowshipping is a means of excommunication, and what happens effectively is that when the elders determined that you were not repentant enough They would go to the platform, stand at the podium and just say, “Amber Scorah has been disfellowshipped.
Disfellowshipping was just a complete shunning of the sinner. So what that effectively meant was that you lost your contact with your entire community, including your own family.
